An Evening on the Red Carpet

ACPPA is getting fancy with our 4th annual Gala Saturday, April 25 from 7-10pm. Look your best and walk the red carpet like a celebrity!

This year, your friends at the ACPPA Community Art Center are getting fancy with “An Evening on the Red Carpet” for their Annual Benefit Gala. Break out your favorite cocktail attire and be ready to walk our red carpet on Saturday, April 25th from 7-10pm. When you enter, the red carpet will be rolled out where the paparazzi will be snapping pictures along the custom step and repeat of you and your guest(s).

ACPPA, a celebrated multi-disciplinary arts organization, serves Norristown and its surrounding communities by providing over 2000 students a chance to make and celebrate art in a variety of ways. Students from ages 2-102 dance, perform theatre, make music, create paintings, drawings, and photography, and more, every day. Additionally, ACPPA partners with the Norristown school districts and Montgomery libraries to provide free programming, making the arts accessible to so many. Highlights of the Art Center include annually sold out productions of Norristown Nutcracker, a Spring Student Works Exhibition featuring artwork from over 300 students, community events, and the Annual Benefit Gala.

The annual Gala supports everything we do—providing children and young adults the opportunity to create art, express themselves, and grow. As programming is free or low cost, the Gala and its proceeds are the major way ACPPA can continue to expand its network of artists and continue to serve the communities in the area.

An Evening on the Red Carpet festivities include buttled hors d’oeuvres, food stations, open bar, silent auction, raffles, awards ceremony, and presentation; plus, there will be an after party with a DJ spinning your favorite dance tunes. Some highlights of the silent auction are a spa package, a weekend getaway to the Poconos, a professional photography sitting, and a business luncheon for 30 people.

This year, we will be honoring Wendy Coleman and the work of Gabrielle’s Arts Foundation for their tremendous support of youth arts programming with our Luminary Award. Previous recipients of the Luminary Award include Norristown’s own John Doyle and Mydera Robinson. For three summers, Wendy and the Foundation have sent 18 kids to ACPPA’s summer camp, in addition to sending 10 girls to go see the Philadelphia Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker. Her magnanimous nature and dedication to providing access to arts exploration is the very definition of an Arts Luminary.

General admission for the evening is $35 per person, which all goes to support youth arts programming at ACPPA. But, if you are looking for celebrity treatment, consider upgrading to VIP admission at just $45 per person. VIPs will have access to the champagne bar with chair massages and gifts! If you can’t decide between both wonderful options, VIP upgrades are available at the door on the event night itself.

And, while you are having the time of your life at the Gala, there will be a complimentary, but separate, party for kids ages 2-12 as well!
