It's been a rough few weeks for the Eagles, on and off the field.

Eagles All-Pro defensive tackle Fletcher Cox, used to dispatching offenders with tackles and brute force, had to wield a shotgun to chase away an intruder at his New Jersey home during an incident last week, according to a report.

6ABC reports that the man, Corbyn Nyemah, came to Cox's home in Mullica Hill searching for his ex-girlfriend.

He smashed up her vehicle outside before throwing rocks through the front door in an attempt to break-in, the report indicates.

Nyemah then reportedly walked around the home with a baseball bat attempting to get into the home via a different entrance.

Cox called police and armed himself with a shotgun in case he needed to defend himself.

Nyemah then fled the scene and was arrested shortly thereafter.

Cox was not injured, though he did have to miss practice the next day, on Oct. 16, according to NJ.com.
