Free Admission Offered At Elmwood Park Zoo For Norristown Residents

NORRISTOWN, PA -- Norristown residents can gain free admission to the Elmwood Park Zoo on the first Sunday of every month, officials announced.

Free admission will be in place from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Residents must present valid photo identification in order to gain admittance. The dates for First Sundays for 2017 are as follows:

• March 5
• April 2
• May 7
• June 4
• July 2
• Aug. 6
• Sept. 3
• Oct. 1
• Nov. 5
• Dec. 3

Non-residents will be charged normal admission rates. Borough residents are defined by living within the following four boundaries:

• east of Forrest Avenue
• south of Johnson Highway
• west of Sandy Hill Road/E Fornance Street
• north of the Schuylkill River

Visitors at the zoo this summer also have the opportunity to see the two new jaguar cubs who were born in January.
