Man Gets 59 Years In Prison For Armed Robberies In Bucks, Chester, Montgomery Counties

A serial armed robber has been sentenced to 59 years in prison for violent incidents at gas stations throughout the region.

PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA -- A Philadelphia man has been sentenced to 59 and a half years in prison for a series of armed robberies throughout the area, including in Plymouth Meeting, the U.S. Attorney's Office announced.

Cory D. Foster, 29, committed the armed robberies in November and December of 2014, authorities said.

The first incident occurred on Nov. 18 at the Lukoil Service Station in Trevose in Bucks County, according to the criminal indictment. Foster entered the store at 4613 East Street Road, pointed a gun at the employee, and put him in the bathroom, the indictment states.

He then stole the employee's wallet, cash, cigarettes, and various other merchandise, totaling around $1,000, police said.

On Dec. 2, Foster entered the Liberty Gas Station and convenience store on 2014 Butler Pike in Plymouth Meeting and leveled a gun at the employee there, authorities said. He stole around $700 in cash and cigarettes and $2,400 in merchandise, and again locked the employee int he bathroom, police said.

The third incident occurred on Dec. 7 at the Citgo on 801 Valley Forge Road in Phoenixville. Foster pointed the gun at the employee and demanded him to open the register. When the employee refused, Foster beat him with the butt of the pistol, fracturing his eye socket, police said.

Foster then turned his weapon on the customer and took his cash and car keys, and fled in the stolen car. He made off with $3,978 in cigarettes, $390 in cigars, and $790 in cash from the register, the indictment states.

Police caught up with Foster on Feb. 5 in Wilmington, Delaware.

Sentencing was handed down by U.S. District Court Judge Mark A. Kearney. The FBI investigated the case along with police from Bensalem, Schuylkill Township, and Plymouth Township.
