Man Sentenced to Prison for 2015 Norristown Slaying
BREAKING: Kevin Slocum, 21, will spend 12 to 24 years in prison for the mistaken-identity slaying of a man in Norristown in 2015.

NORRISTOWN, PA -- A Bridgeport man has been sentenced to 12 to 24 years in prison for his role in the killing of a man in Norristown in April of 2015, court documents state.
Kevin Slocum, 21, was arrested and charged with murder in late March of 2016 alongside his brother Terrell Slocum, 23 and Diandre Brown, age 22. The younger Slocum pleaded guilty and was convicted of third-degree murder, conspiracy, aggravated assault, and related charges in October.
The worst part? Slocum never meant to target the 30-year-old Majors in the first place.

According to the Times Herald, the slaying was the result of a mistaken identity. The Slocums, Brown, and another suspect, Chad Beringer, were reportedly looking for a different man when they accidentally mistook Majors for their target.
The incident in question occurred on April 6, 2015 shortly before 9 p.m. when Norristown Police responded to reports to shots fired near 1200 Locust Street, according to the DA.

When they arrived they found glass in the streets but no sign of anyone involved in the shootings, the DA said.
About 10 minutes later at 9:03 pm., a Plymouth Township police officer found Majors inside a vehicle at the Lukoil service station on 603 Ridge Pike, according to the DA.
Majors was taken to Mercy Suburban Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 10:37 p.m., the DA said.
One arrest in connection with this killing was made in June, after the others. Beringer was arrested and charged with Majors' murder as well. He has already pleaded guilty to third-degree murder and is awaiting sentencing, as is Brown. The elder Slocum pleaded guilty to third-degree murder and was sentenced to six to 20 years in prison, court documents show.
