Medical Marijuana Facility Approved in Bridgeport: Report

A medical marijuana facility has been approved in Bridgeport, according to media reports.

The borough council voted 5-1 to approve an application to allow Conshohocken's Black Lab Botanicals to build a growing and processing facility on 125 W. Boro Line Road, the Times Herald reports.

Officials hope that a percentage of proceeds from the plant would help fund programs within the borough, the report states.

Owners of Black Lab think that up to 50 new jobs could eventually be created by the facility.
