Memory Screening at Montco SAAC

The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, National Memory Screening Day provides free confidential memory screenings to individuals concerned about memory problems. We will be holding the screenings on November 18 at Montco SAAC between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. The face-to-face memory screening takes from five to 10 minutes and consists of questions and/or tasks to assess memory and other cognitive functioning.

Proper diagnosis is critical since some conditions that affect memory, such as vitamin deficiencies or thyroid problems, are reversible. For irreversible illnesses, such as Alzheimer’s disease, proper diagnosis enables individuals to obtain medical treatment and social services and have input into legal and financial decisions that can improve quality of life.

We will offer attendees information about Alzheimer’s Disease, successful aging and resources.

National Memory Screening Day is an annual initiative of the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
