Methacton Student Named National Siemens Competition Semifinalist
A Methacton High School student has been named a semifinalist in the national Siemens scholarship competition.

EAGLEVILLE, PA — A pair of high school students in Montgomery County have been named semifinalists in the national Siemens scholarship competition, which recognizes the achievements in math, science and technology among the country's brightest students.
Methacton's Jeremy Wang and Jinhyung Park of The Hill School in Pottstown were two of just three Pennsylvania students to be accorded the rare honor.
Roy Ghosh of Parkland High School in Allentown was also named a semifinalist.

Students from around the nation submit research projects which are judged through a series of stages.
The semifinalists will be broken up into groups to compete in regional competitions in November. From there, the winners will compete in the national finals at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. in December.

The top winner will receive a $100,000 scholarship.
Any student who makes it to the nationals will receive at least $25,000.
