Montco Ready To Address Election Day Threats, Intimidation
"A fair election is the cornerstone of democracy, and our office is ready to look into any irregularities or problems with people voting."

NORRISTOWN, PA — The Montgomery County District Attorney's Office is preparing for Election Day by making prosecutors ready to handle potential complaints.
The 2016 election was marred by numerous threats of voting place violence and plans to disrupt the day's events. No disruption is "expected" on Tuesday, but authorities are nonetheless prepared.
"A fair election is the cornerstone of democracy, and our office is ready to look into any irregularities or problems with people voting," DA Kevin Steele said Monday. "While we don't expect any, we stand ready to assist in protecting the integrity of our electoral system - as we do for every election."
