Montco Sheriff Honors Departing Chief, Swears In New Chief
Montgomery County now has a new Chief Deputy of the Sheriff's Department.

NORRISTOWN, PA — Montgomery County now has a new Chief Deputy of the Sheriff's Department.
With Chief T. Michael Beaty departing to become Superintendent of the Tredyffrin Township Police Department, Sheriff Sean P. Kilkenny announced that the new Chief Deputy will be Lt. Adam T. Berry.
Beatty was honored during a farewell ceremony last week.

“Chief Beaty has made a permanent impact on our office due to his incredible leadership and experience and he will be missed,” said.
Beatty has been a member of the Sheriff's Office since retiring as Chief of Police in Whitemarsh in 2016. He had served Whitemarsh for 30 years.

Berry, meanwhile, has been with the sheriff's office since 2000 as a deputy. He has served in the courts division, civil division, and transportation and detention division. He was promoted to lieutenant in February.
The pair each began their new roles on Monday morning.
