A North Wales officer stayed at the Lin's house for about 40 minutes, the report states, until Charles Lin said he was ready to leave.

Minutes after the officer returned to the station, the Lin's soncalled the station to report the shooting, according to the report.

Hsiu-Chin Lin is charged with first degree murder, the DA said. Chien-Kuo Lin was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hsiu-Chin Lin was found sitting at the kitchen table, according to the DA. A .38 caliber revolver was in front of her.

She had been "test-firing" the gun in the week leading up to the incident, the DA's office said.

“The facts show that the defendant was test firing the gun in the past week and then fired not once but four times, fatally shooting her ex-husband once in the chest,” said DA Kevin Steele.
