Montco's Best Pizza Championship Voting Begins

It's all come down to this. The best pizza in Montgomery County tournament has entered its final round of voting, as East Greenville's Vince and Friends squares up against Bravo Pizza of Worcester.

The March Madness style competition to determine the best pie in the county began with 64 eateries early in March. It's now down to the final two.

Voting for the championship will take place between April 2 and April 8, when a winner will be crowned.

Vince and Friends defeated the legendary Via Veneto Pizza of Norristown in the Final Four, while Bravo Pizza knocked off a formidable opponent in Tony and Joe's of Conshohocken.

The event is organized by the Valley Forge Tourism and Convention Board.

"We're continuing to see the passion that people in this area have for their pizza!" Ed Harris, the Board's Chief Marketing Officer, said in a statement. "The contest really engages the community, and offers such a great opportunity for businesses across Montgomery County. "
