Montgomery County Historical Society Course Takes Genealogy To The Next Level
Explore genealogy research techniques that go beyond the basics with the Historical Society of Montgomery County.

NORRISTOWN, PA — The Historical Society of Montgomery County’s fall genealogy course will help you delve deeper into the past as they host a four week workshop with a local expert genealogist.
Genealogist Rose Brown will present the course, Intermediate Genealogy, for those who want to dig deeper into their genealogical research.
The workshop will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 5, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and continue every Tuesday evening through Sept. 26.

Here's what the Society has to say about Brown:
"Our instructor, Rose Brown, has been working with family genealogy for over 40 years. She served as part-time librarian at the Historical Society for 18 years, and during that time she handled genealogy requests and assisted in research which added to her vast knowledge of genealogy research techniques. Brown has been teaching “Introductory Genealogy Workshops” for 15 years and “Intermediate Genealogy Workshops” for 8 years."

Classes will be held at Society Headquarters, 1654 DeKalb Street, Norristown, Tuesday evenings in September. The course includes four classes held on Sept. 5, 12, 19, and 26.
