Montgomery County Shuts Down Courts, Offices Through Tuesday
Montgomery County is shutting down their courts offices for the next two days to help stop the spread of coronavirus.
NORRISTOWN, PA — Montgomery County is taking another step to mitigate the spread of coronavirus, shutting down all county courts and offices for the next two days.
The facilities will be closed Monday and Tuesday, March 16 and 17.

The county will run essential services only, which includes the following: the 9-1-1 call center, Montgomery County Correctional Facility, the Youth Center, and emergency court hearings.
“Our County and Court operations typically require significant public
interaction and deliver critical and essential services for the entire County population," Montgomery County Commissioner Val Arkoosh said. "For that reason, it is our responsibility to take extra measures to keep our employees and the public safe."

Limited services will resume on Wednesday, March 18. The county will provide details on what those services will be in the coming day.
There are 24 cases of coronavirus in Montgomery County as of Monday morning.
