Dozens of commenters, ranging from friends of Allen, Rachel, and the King family, to students of Rachel, to well-wishers in the community, universally commented on the selflessness and kindness the Kings had shown them through the years.
"She’s been my teacher for the past 2 years," one former student wrote. "And within these 2 years, she has been the best teacher you could ever ask for. She was so joyful and sweet every day… it breaks my heart that I will never see her again but I’ll be strong for her."
"Thank you for believing in our children and giving them something to look up to," a parent of one of Rachel's students wrote. "I pray your that your son is forever guided by the impact that your spirit had on this world."
"Such a beautiful soul," another added.
