Most Wanted Norristown Fugitive, Former Football Star, Captured

Police announced the arrest of Jermaine Pierce on Monday.

NORRISTOWN, PA -- A most-wanted Norristown fugitive was captured on Friday morning, Norristown police announced Monday.

Jermaine Pierce, a former football standout at Norristown, matriculated to Syracuse University in 2007 but was never allowed to play football due to a "life threatening" blood clot condition, Syracuse.com reports.

Pierce had been arrested on drug charges in 2011 and sentenced in 2013, but was granted probation.
