NBA Hopeful, Duke Star Cam Reddish Signs Autographs In Norristown

NORRISTOWN, PA — He may be one of the best young basketball players in the country, but he hasn't forgotten where he came from.

Norristown native and former Duke star Cam Reddish was in Norristown on Monday, paying a visit to his old stomping grounds and teachers.

Reddish, 19, declared for the NBA Draft after a season at Duke University, where he was part of a powerful group of freshman that made the Blue Devils one of the best teams in the NCAA.

On Monday, Reddish visited his alma mater of Whitehall Elementary School. According to the school district, he held a mini press conference during his visit, as well as snapping some photographs with his old teachers. He also signed autographs and hung out with students.

Reddish is expected to be one of top lottery picks in the 2019 NBA Draft, which will take place on Thursday, June 20. Various experts have picked him as going anywhere from 7th to 10th overall.

A graduate of West Chester's Westtown School, Reddish's closely scrutinized prep career was the subject of a Sports Illustrated TV documentary, "We Town."
