Nelson Agholor Invites Hero Of Philly Fire To Eagles Home Game

"Thank you for being a hero in the community," Agholor wrote to the man who became an Internet sensation for criticizing him.

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Perhaps predictably, it didn't take long for "the most Philly comment ever" to reach the ears of its target, Eagles wide receiver Nelson Agholor.

Less than a day after Eagles fan and Philadelphia fire hero Hakim Laws became an Internet sensation for comparing his babies-falling-out-of-a-building receiving skills favorably to Agholor's football receiving skills, the Eagles star has reached out to him.

He took the high road.

"Thank you for being a hero in the community, Agholor wrote on Twitter. "Would like to invite you and your family to the next home game. Twitter help me out and get me in touch with him.

And for as much attention as the original comments got, Agholor's response has been viral in its own right, receiving 45,000 retweets and 254,000 likes as of early Tuesday.

Agholor did have a few key drops during Sunday's Eagles loss, but he also had two touchdown receptions and led all receivers in the game with eight receptions.
