'No Kings, Kick Out The Clowns' Protest Set For West Norriton

WEST NORRITON, PA — A protest against President Trump's and his administration will hit the streets of West Norriton later this month, organizers said.

The "No Kings, Kick Out the Clowns" protest, set for Monday, June 16, will take place at the intersection of Main Street and Egypt Road.

"They’ve defied our courts, deported Americans, disappeared people off the streets, attacked our civil rights, and slashed our services," organizers said. "The corruption has gone too. far. No thrones. No crowns. No kings."

It's part of a nationwide series of rallies that take aim at what protesters say is the president's unchecked abuse of power and language sympathizing with monarchs.

The event is slated to run from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Local organizers with the CFC People's Neighborhood Protest Series say they aim to bring visibility to various issues while building local "support and resistance."

CFC encourages participants to bring donations for the Daily Bread Food Pantry to the protest.
