Norristown Awarded $200K In State Grants For Infrastructure
More than $12 million in grants were awarded to municipalities across Montgomery County for trail development and infrastructure projects.

NORRISTOWN, PA — More than $12 million in grants were awarded to municipalities across Montgomery County for trail development and infrastructure projects. Among those projects was a $200,000 grant to rehabilitate manholes across Norristown.
The 31 awards came via six different state grant programs, supporting a wide variety of programs throughout the county.
“These grants are critical to our local municipalities’ ability to make needed infrastructure improvements,” said Montgomery County Planning Commission Executive Director Jody Holton. “These communities are taking the initiative and implementing projects in their plans.”

- Cheltenham Township – Brookdale Avenue Pump Replacement: $100,000
- Pottstown – Memorial Park Playground and Site Access Improvements: $200,000
- Royersford – Riverfront Park and Trail Phase III: $100,000 West-Mont United Soccer – WMUSA Hilltop Soccer Complex Site Improvements: $100,000
