Norristown Chorale to offer an All-American Concert

Join us for our spring concert, “Hear America Singing” on Saturday May 9, 2015, 4:00pm at Victory Church 2650 Audubon Road, Audubon, PA. This concert will be a celebration of American music, and everything in it is 100% Born-in-the-USA!

We’ll have a wide range of music for you, from poetry set to music, pop and patriotic, to folk songs, spirituals and sacred music. Concert highlights include texts by American poets Emily Dickinson and Paul Laurence Dunbar, and a commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the assignation of President Lincoln through excerpts from his 1st and 2nd Inaugural Addresses set to music.

Other moments include, Ralph Manuel’s “Alleluia”, and Stephen Foster’s “Nelly Bly”. Then, “Razzle Dazzle” from Chicago, “Blue Moon” and “America the Beautiful” will round out the show.

The concert is FREE, but a good-will offering will be accepted to cover concert costs.

Our audience is invited to stay for a reception following the concert, courtesy of the singers and their families.
