Norristown Earth Day Project Seeks To Beautify Borough
Earth Day is just around the corner. Find out how you can help make Norristown a better place.

NORRISTOWN, PA -- The Norristown Project is hosting an Earth Day cleanup at Riverfront Park and has released the following information on the event:
Join the Norristown Project for our Spring Cleanup and beautification project. Since Earth Day falls on a Friday, we are pushing our Earth Day activity to Saturday, April 23rd. A rain date is scheduled for April 30th. This event is part of the Great American Cleanup and Keep PA Beautiful.
This year we will head to Riverfront Park for a beautification and litter cleanup project. To prepare for the Summer traffic in the park, we will clean the river banks, green areas and working our way towards Crawford Park. There is a bunch of underbrush that needs to be cleared and trash from illegal dumping to be removed. By cleaning up the litter, we are preventing these items from going into the Schuylkill River and causing more damage to the environment.
