Norristown Firefighters Battle 2-Alarm Blaze Amidst Midday Heat
Crews fought a two-alarm fire at Daebat clothing store in downtown Norristown Thursday.

NORRISTOWN, PA — Firefighters in Norristown battled a blaze downtown on Thursday afternoon, as some of the highest temperatures of the year swept through the Delaware Valley.
The incident occurred at Daebat, a clothing store located at the intersection of Main Street and Swede streets, just before noon, authorities said.
Crews were able to put the blaze out despite despite high humidity and sweltering heat that touched the lows 90s.

There was extensive damage to the building, and store employees said that most of the store's property had been destroyed in the blaze.
It is not yet clear what caused the fire.
