Norristown Girls Win Suburban American 4X400 At Penn Relays

Congratulations!

NORRISTOWN, PA -- On one of the biggest stages in all of track and field on Thursday, the Norristown Area High School girls 4x400 meter relay came up big.

The team flew around the storied tartan oval at Franklin Field to win the Suburban American division title in a time of 3:52.96. The victory advances them to a final heat against the best area schools on Saturday evening.

Charity Guy led off for the Eagles with a 59.04 leg that quickly put them in second place, trailing a blazing 56.57 opening from Springfield's Sydni Stovall. There were several teams quick on Guy's heels, and the pack was crowded when Guy handed the baton off to Jayana Webb.
