Norristown Group Fills Container For Syrian Refugees

Great work being done on behalf of Syrian refugees by a group in Norristown.

NORRISTOWN, PA -- A Norristown church is working to fill and fund a container to send overseas to Syrian refugees.

"All community members encouraged to donate goods, funds, and time to help alleviate the pain and suffering of refugees, who are facing the greatest humanitarian crisis of our time, as winter approaches and the temperatures get cold," a press release states.

This interfaith effort invites all community members, neighborhoods, school, businesses, and houses of worship to collect donations leading up to a one-day service event, at which volunteers will sort and pack the donations into boxes and load a container in preparation for shipment overseas, the release states.
