A hit and run in Norristown on Wednesday night left one man in critical condition.

NORRISTOWN, PA -- A hit and run in Norristown on Wednesday night left one man in critical condition.

The incident occurred at around 10 p.m. near the intersection of Markley Street and Harding Boulevard, police said.

The victim, a 43-year-old man, was taken from the scene by the JeffStat helicopter to a hospital in Philadelphia.

The vehicle in question fled the scene, but a witness told authorities the license plate, and the car was able to be identified, police said.

No arrests have been made and the incident remains under investigation.
