Norristown Holds 9/11 Heroes Run, Featuring Budweiser Clydesdales

The famous Budweiser Clydesdales were on hand in Montgomery County Sunday morning for the 911 heroes run.

NORRISTOWN, PA -- Norristown paid tribute to the victims and families of the attacks of September 11, 2001 on the 15th anniversary on Sunday by hosting the Travis Manion Foundation 911 Heroes Run.

The 5k race began at 9 a.m. on Main Street at the foot of the courthouse steps. A one mile fun run took place as well.

The event, now in its fourth year, featured the Clydesdale horses from Budweiser afterwards.

An Olympic-style village of vendors and performers were on hand for commemoration ceremonies throughout the day.

Proceeds will benefit the Montgomery County Hero Fund. The run is in honor of Montco native Travis Manion, who gave his life in the duty.
