Norristown K9 Nero: Weekly Update
Norristown has welcomed Nero, their canine protector, with "open paws," says Officer Narkin.

NORRISTOWN, PA -- Norristown has welcomed Nero, their canine protector, with "open paws," says Officer Narkin.
Police posted the following update on the borough's newest K9 officer on their Facebook page:
This week, I spent a lot of time bonding with Nero. I'm walking with him a minimum of 3 miles a day. We have lunch together. I even shared my peanut butter sandwich with him to help bond with him (he ate most of it!) and hand fed him as part of the bonding process. We did the very beginnings of tracking work and bite work. He is one of the nicest dogs and has a great personality, but knows when it's time to work. Good Police dogs are amazing in that they can switch from being easy going and friendly to doing serious bite work like a switch was thrown. Now, he knows me when I come in each morning. Thanks Norristown for welcoming Nero with open paws!
