Norristown Lawmaker Apologizes For Borough's 'Snow Failure'
"I want to apologize for the snow response failure of the municipality...(please do) continue to complain and demand constituent service."

NORRISTOWN, PA -- A Norristown lawmaker has issued a formal apology for the borough’s response to the blizzard, addressing the complaints that poured in from around the area as many streets remained unplowed and residents were unable to get to work.
Councilman Marlon Millner posted the note to his Facebook page:
To the residents of Norristown, Pennsylvania, I want to apologize for the snow response failure of the municipality. I have not seen an official snow total for the municipality. I realize the total accumulation may be a historic level. However, our response has been unacceptable for a number of reasons. I speak for myself as a councilman at-large who represents this entire town.

But I am also pleased to report the entire council is concerned about the response, though they can offer their own public comments. I think you will see this council acting in ways prior councils did not to make some tough decisions that will ultimately make our municipality safer and better able to respond to significant snow events. Without question, when there is heavy snow, you and I both will be inconvenienced.
But solid planning and even better execution means that some up front sacrifices will mean you can resume some normalcy with more efficiency and effectiveness from local government. I apologize and can only tell you this coming week will be difficult.

Continue to complain and demand constituent service. It’s the least we can do. Please stay safe and warm. And for the sake of history, I call your attention to the snow plan for the town I fought for us to implement. It now needs to be improved and revised clearly after the significant difficulties all of us have endured this weekend.
