Aaron Irvin-Moore, 19, was arrested around 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13, on a SEPTA bus after a fellow passenger -- a teller at the bank -- recognized Irvin-Moore as the suspect and called 911, Cheltenham Police said.

It was “clearly a case of being on the wrong bus at the wrong time for Mr. Irvin-Moore,” police said.

The Wells Fargo at 2385 Cheltenham Ave. was robbed around 1:37 p.m. Monday, police said. A man, later identified as Irvin-Moore, handed a teller a note demanding money. Irvin-Moore fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Following Irvin-Moore’s arrest, “Cheltenham Police brought a second teller to the location who also positively identified the suspect.” Irvin-Moore has confessed to the bank robbery, police said.
