Norristown Man, Illegal Alien, Charged for Firearm Possession: U.S. Attorney

A Norristown man who is in the country illegally faces up to 10 years in prison after allegedly making an illegal firearms purchase.

NORRISTOWN, PA -- A Norristown man whom authorities have discovered is an illegal alien has been charged with possession of a firearm, the U.S. Attorney's Office-Eastern District of Pennsylvania announced this week.

Federico Sanchez-Bello, 36, purchased the .45 caliber semi-automatic pistol on September 4, authorities said.

It is illegal for undocumented immigrants to own firearms.

If convicted, Sanchez-Bello faces up to 10 years in jail, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.

Homeland Security Investigations assisted the Norristown Police Department in the investigation.
