Norristown Man Sentenced After Being Caught Selling 181 Bags of Heroin: DA

The 33-year-old man admitted that he had spent "most of his adult life" dealing drugs, the DA's office said.

NORRISTOWN, PA -- A Norristown man has been sentenced to an additional prison term after a conviction on drug charges in Bucks County, the Bucks District Attorney's Office has announced.

Andre Myers, 33, admitted to the judge that he had spent his "entire adult life" dealing drugs, the DA said.

Myers had already been sentenced earlier in 2016 to 5.5 to 11 years in prison for drug charges in Montgomery County. The additional sentence handed down in Bucks County court on Wednesday adds another 2.5 to 6 years to his prison term. His total sentence is 8 to 17 years.

Myers was busted during a controlled narcotics buy at the Red Roof Inn on Lincoln Highway in Bensalem, the DA said. He had just delivered 181 bags of heroin to a different hotel room, and 73 bags of heroin were found in his pocket.

“My mom raised me to be a better person than this,” Myers said to the judge, according to the DA's office. “I’m just hard-headed. I got caught up in the lifestyle.”
