Norristown Man Sentenced For Attempting To Arrange Sex With Young Boy
A Norristown man arranged to meet with who he thought was a 14-year-old boy for a sexual encounter.

NORRISTOWN, PA — A Norristown man has been sentenced to two to four years in prison for attempting to arrange sex with a 14-year-old boy in 2016, according to court documents.
Charles Edward Christmann, 44, of Norristown, was arrested in August of 2016 at a predetermined meeting location in Upper Merion where he believed the sexual encounter would take place, officials said.
Christmann was first investigated by the Child Predator Section of the Attorney General's Office.

Officials launched their investigation by examining online advertisements to search for individuals attempting to exploit children.
An undercover agent, posing as a 14-year-boy, made contact with a person later identified as Christmann, officials said. Christmann then allegedly sent several sexually explicit photographs and messages to the undercover agent.

Christmann pleaded guilty to unlawful contact with a minor and attempted statutory sexual assault, documents show.
