Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele, Bucks County District Attorney Matt Weintraub, and Norristown Police Chief Derrick Wood announced Ware's arrest in a joint press release.

The shooting happened Monday, Nov. 21 on the 900 block of West Main Street at around 10 p.m. Cellphone video footage recorded by the victim, Tyrone Guy, shows him and Ware in the midst of a confrontation, police said.

In the video, Ware appears to be concealing something behind his back. He then swings at the cellphone, knocking it to the ground. Several gunshots can be heard in the video, police said.

When authorities arrived at the scene and found Guy on the sidewalk, they said that his cellphone was still recording. First responders took Guy to Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, where he was later declared dead.

Police also found a black winter jacket with a "distinctive red and white logo on the front" at the scene. They said it matches a brand of clothing modeled and sold by Ware through social media.

“We are pleased that this dangerous criminal who shot and killed a man walking down the street is now behind bars,” said Steele. “Thank you to the Central Bucks Special Response Team and Bucks County Detectives for their significant assist in getting Ware into custody while protecting the surrounding community, including safeguarding nearby schools with a protective lockdown.”

No bail is available for first-degree murder. Ware's preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 15, according to court records.
