Norristown Re-Elects Sonya Sanders, Derrick Perry To Head Council

Norristown's Municipal Council has elected to continue under the same leadership in 2017.

NORRISTOWN, PA -- Norristown's Municipal Council has elected to continue under the same leadership in 2017.

Both Sonya Sanders and Derrick Perry will return to leadership roles for a third term this year, the borough announced last week.

“I want to thank my colleagues for their support and dedication to Norristown,” Sanders said in a statement posted on Norristown's municipal website.

Sanders will again serve as President of the Municipal Council, while Perry will be Vice President.

“I look forward to the continued strengthening of our relationships with our County Commissioners, our State delegation, our School Board Members, and our local tradesmen unions," Sanders added.
