NORRISTOWN, PA — A new trail project in Norristown is getting some major backing from the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission.

The proposed junction center will be at the intersection of the Schuylkill River Trail and the Chester Valley Trail in Norristown, Montgomery County officials recently announced.

The project will receive $100,000 from the Commission for design purposes. Ultimately, officials aim to redevelop a vacant building where the the two trails will eventually intersect, and turn it into a multi-use area including bathrroms, bike repair equipment, and refreshments.
