Norristown's K9 Jerry Gets Body Armor

Norristown's K9 Jerry is more ready to serve and protect than ever before after a charitable donation.

NORRISTOWN, PA — Norristown's K9 Jerry is more ready to serve and protect than ever before.

Jerry will receive a bullet and stab protective vest from Vested Interest in K9s, a nonprofit working to provide lifesaving body armor for working dogs around the county.

The vest will be embroidered with a memorial for a fallen K9 officer: "In memory of K9 Rocco, Pittsburgh Bureau of Police."

The vest is expected within eight to ten weeks.

Vested Interest has provided more than $2.4 million in donations, a total of 2,800 protective vests, in all 50 states.
