Nurses Resolve 'Unsafe and Illegal' Conditions At Norristown's Suburban Community Hospital
The nurse's union has agreed to a contract with the owners of Norristown's Suburban Community Hospital.

NORRISTOWN, PA -- The union representing Suburban Community Hospital's nurses has agreed to a contract with the hospital after a 10-month battle, the sides announced Thursday.
The resolution comes after nearly a year of picketing, rallying, and dealmaking. PASNAP, the Pennsylvania Association of Staff Nurses and Allied Professionals, said that the dispute originated in Prime Healthcare's refusal to adopt key terms of the original contract.
A mass demonstration at several Prime Healthcare hospitals in the region, involving 2,500 nurses picketing, took place in mid-November.
