Cosby, 81, was sentenced to three to 10 years in state prison on Tuesday. Shortly after his sentencing, he had his first run-in with an inmate while he was temporarily held at Montgomery County Correctional Facility, according to one source. A stale hot dog bun was thrown at him.

Simpson, 71, added that he "believed in the justice system" but that prison isn't safe for Cosby, and that he should be permitted to do his time under house arrest.

Cosby is being held at SCI Phoenix in Montgomery County, where he is presently in a single cell that is adjacent to the infirmary. The Department of Corrections says that the plan is ultimately for Cosby to be integrated into the prison's general population.
