Pennsylvania State Police Troop K, partially based in Montgomery County, made 1,824 DUI arrests in 2016.

SKIPPACK, PA — Troop K, a Pennsylvania state police troop based partially in Montgomery County, made nearly 2,000 DUI arrests in 2016, according to recently released figures.
That's the second largest number of arrests made by any Troop in the state, trailing only Troop H, which is located in Harrisburg and Chambersburg.
Troop K has a barracks based in Skippack, but also a barracks in Philadelphia and in Media, Delaware County. They made a total of 1,824 DUI arrests in 2016.

Altogether, state police reported 410 DUI crashes in Troop K's jurisdiction in 2016. They also executed 13 "DRE Evaluations," or an analysis of an individual suspected of being under the influence of a substance other than alcohol.
Across the state, police arrested 19,518 individuals for drunk driving in 2016. There were a total of 4,520 DUI crashes, statistics show.
