Construction worker was electrocuted at Norristown Area High School (pottsmerc.com subscription) — A construction worker was fatally electrocuted this week at Norristown Area High School in West Norriton, where a major renovation project is underway as part of the district's $350 million facilities plan. Officials say the victim was not a district employee or student, and OSHA has cleared the site to resume work while the investigation continues.

Norristown man held for trial in gas station shooting that left woman paralyzed (pottsmerc.com subscription) — A Norristown man has been ordered to stand trial in county court, accused of firing multiple shots at a vehicle at a local gas station in January, injuring three people and leaving a woman paralyzed. Another Norristown resident faces related firearm charges but is not accused of shooting. Both men were later arrested in Philadelphia, where investigators recovered weapons tied to the case.
   

4. Abington business owner sent to prison for illegal possession of 8 guns (timesherald.com) — From the courthouse in Norristown, a Philadelphia man who ran an auto repair shop in Abington Township has been sentenced to 13 to 35 years in state prison for illegally possessing eight guns, including two ghost guns and one with a machine gun conversion device. Jurors saw body camera and surveillance footage linking him to the weapons, which prosecutors called an "unlawful armory."
