PECO Invests $2.5 Million To Improve Norristown Gas, Electric
PECO is investing $2.5 million to improve the gas and electric infrastructure throughout the borough.

NORRISTOWN, PA -- PECO is investing $2.5 million to improve the gas and electric infrastructure throughout the borough.
Workers will replace existing natural gas mains and service lines with new plastic pipe, which officials say is safer and more durable.
Workers will also relocate indoor natural gas meters to the outside of the property.

Work will occur on the following streets:
- DeKalb Pike, between Schuylkill Avenue and East Lafayette Street, Gas construction
- DeKalb Pike, between East Main Street and East Lafayette Street, Electric construction
- East Lafayette Street, between Ford Street to west of Walnut Street, Gas construction
- Main Street, between Green Street and Swede Street, Electric construction
- Strawberry Street, between Main Street and West Lafayette Street, Electric construction
The work began in March and will continue through November 2017.
