Pets Rescued From Norristown Fire

Several pets were rescued from a house fire in Norristown on Monday night.

NORRISTOWN, PA — Several cats were rescued from a house fire in Norristown on Monday evening, authorities said.

The blaze occurred on the 1000 block of Willow Street sometime around 8 p.m. Monday.

Smoke was boiling out of the second floor of a rowhome when crews arrived on the scene.

Authorities were able to rescue several pets which were inside the home at the time of the fire.

First responders also cared for some of the cats after they had been rescued, providing them first aid and the use of oxygen masks to help them recover from smoke inhalation.
