Police Tout Norristown Community Help In Catching Armed Robbers
"Let's keep this partnership going! WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER!" Norristown police posted to Facebook after capturing the armed robber.

Norristown, PA -- Norristown police pointed to assistance from the community in capturing an armed robber within an hour of the crime on Sunday afternoon.
The armed robbery occurred on the 300 block of Main Street, police said.
Within an hour, police had responded to the scene, conferred with community members and witnesses, and brought the suspects into custody.

"Let's keep this partnership going! WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER!" Norristown police posted to Facebook after capturing the armed robber. "Once again, Norristown residents and police have demonstrated their commitment to better their community."
The announcement days after Chief Mark Talbot spoke at borough hall about encouraging community members to see police officers primarily as protectors, not enforcers.
