Poll Results: Norristown Has Less Interest In Local Business

Trader Joe's, Burger King, nothing at all? The votes may surprise you.

On Tuesday, we asked you what businesses you’d most like to see in Norristown.

As it did in neighboring Lansdale, Trader Joe’s led all vote-getters, this time in dominating fashion, earning 68% of the total vote.

Pizza Hut followed in second place with 12%.

Trader Joe’s is also popular in nearby Roxborough, where an online movement has mobilized thousands of supporters pleading with the chain to come to their area.

There are 457 Trader Joes scattered throughout the United States.

More atypical chain stores received only a comparatively tiny fraction of the vote.

Compared to a town like Lansdale, Norristown was much less interested in local mom and pop shops, affording them only 4% overall.
