Portion Of DeKalb St. To Shut Down For The Month After Norristown Fire
The investigation into the devastating fire at a Norristown church continues, and organizers are raising funds to rebuild.
NORRISTOWN, PA — A portion of DeKalb Street will remain shut down through the end of January as the investigation into the devastating fire at a Norristown church continues.
The closure impacts the right lane of DeKalb between Airy and Marshall streets.

It comes after a destructive blaze tore through Norristown's Faith Tabernacle House of Prayer on Tuesday night, severely damaging the church, officials said.
The cause is not yet clear.

A GoFundMe launched for the church to help rebuild has already raised more than $3,000.
"Our church has been a beacon of hope, love, and faith for many years, offering not only a place of worship but also community programs, support for those in need, and a space for spiritual growth," church spokesperson Larry T. Owens wrote. "Now, more than ever, we need your help to rebuild and restore this sacred space."
No injuries were reported.
The incident began at around 7 p.m. Tuesday night and drew a massive response from firefighters around Montgomery, Delaware, and Bucks counties.
