President Biden To Speak At Valley Forge On Jan. 6 Anniversary
President Biden is kicking off the New Year, and his re-election campaign, in Montgomery County.

VALLEY FORGE, PA — President Joe Biden will speak at Valley Forge National Historical Park on Saturday in an event that will cast his run for re-election in the context of the three year anniversary of the Jan. 6 Capitol riots.
It marks the latest effort by Biden and prominent Democrats to make use of iconic Revolutionary War imager to paint their campaigns as fundamental to founding American values. The speech, in perhaps the most crucial swing state in the nation, comes as the long-debunked stolent election conspiracies that fueled the Jan. 6 riots bubble to the surface again ahead of another election.
In addition to commemorating the anniversary, the campaign speech will focus on "protecting democracy," Biden aides said during a media briefing. It will be Biden's first speech of 2024.

"The president will make the case directly that democracy and freedom, two powerful ideas that united the 13 colonies and that generations throughout our nation’s history have fought and died for a stone’s throw from where he’ll be Saturday, remains central to the fight we’re in today,” Quentin Fulks, the Biden-Harris deputy campaign manager, told CNN.
It's not yet clear exactly where in the park the event will take place.

After Valley Forge, Biden will speak at Mother Emanuel AME Church, the community rocked by a mass shooter who killed people during a Bible study in 2015.
Biden currently trails likely Republican candidate, former President Donald Trump, by 2.3 points nationally, according to the RealClearPolitics aggregate of recent polls.
