Lane restrictions on Route 422 and Route 23 in the Valley Forge area will lead to additional traffic next week as bridge construction continues.
422 will be restricted both eastbound and westbound from Tuesday, May 30 through Friday, June 2, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., between 202 and Trooper Road.
From Tuesday through Friday, the eastbound ramp to Route 23 will close from 7 a.m. to midnight. Motorists will be redirected to exit at First Avenue, and then turn left on Gulph Road to reach Route 23.

And also from Tuesday through Friday, Route 23 will experience lane closures from 7 a.m. to 6 a.m. between Moore Road and Gulph Road.
Backups are expected to occur. Motorists should plan for additional travel time.

The closures are due to bridge construction which is part of the $97.4 million project to improve travel over the Schuylkill River. Construction is scheduled to complete in May 2020.
