SCA Invites Region's Schools, Nonprofits to Apply for Environmental Education Grants

SCA invites schools, nonprofits to apply for environmental education grants - application deadline is Nov 15

SCA, a leading global hygiene and forest products company, is accepting applications for its Environmental Education Grant Program from K-12 schools and nonprofit organizations in the Greater Philadelphia region, and other communities where it has operations across the United States.

The annual grant program supports sustainability projects that encourage students to identify environmental issues in their communities and propose solutions.

Schools and nonprofit organizations are invited to apply for grant funding up to $5,000.

SCA has awarded more than $212,000 in environmental education grants to 92 schools since launching the grant program in 2007. This year, SCA is also encouraging project submissions from 501 (c)(3) organizations with projects or programs that involve environmental education of K-12 students.

Applications are due Nov. 15, 2014. The online application and more information are available at http://sca.com/us/grants. Awardees will be announced in December.
