SCORE to Present Secrets to Growing Your Real Estate Business
The seminar will be held in Horsham Township conjunction with DIG (Diversified Real Estate Investor Group).

Representatives of SCORE Bucks County and SCORE Montgomery County will share with members of a tri-state area real estate group the keys to starting and growing a successful real estate business during a Feb. 25 meeting in Horsham Township.
Held at Williamson’s Banquet Center on Feb. 25 beginning at 6:30 p.m., the meeting will be held as part of the Diversified Real Estate Investor Group (DIG) regular monthly meeting. The discussion is free (*) and open to the public.
Since its founding in 1978, DIG has more than 1,000 members, including SCORE Bucks County certified mentor and workshop moderator, Don Brown.

“It’s become very clear to me and through my work at DIG that some people that want to get involved in the real estate business have all these wonderful ideas and skills, but they don’t have a clear business plan,” Brown said. “We will introduce the audience to the idea that they can get free counseling to help with formulating a business plan, a financial plan, a marketing plan and more to help DIG Members grow their real estate business.”
Beginning at 7:30 p.m. SCORE will take the floor for a roughly 90-minute meeting. Brown and SCORE Bucks County Chair Gene Murtha will share information on the local chapters of the nonprofit organization and how SCORE mentors provide free counseling to entrepreneurs, startups and business owners.

DIG members Tom and Robin Gilles will discuss how SCORE counseling and mentoring services helped them grow their very successful land lording business.
From there, two area bank representatives (Monument Bank - John Hosey and Harleysville Savings - Conrad Driver) will each give 10-minute presentations on the kind of preparation needed for consideration of a bank mortgage. Bankers will share the different rules and regulations for various types of banks; the rate review time tables; loan-to-value ratios; how many mortgages they support; and more.
Following the banking presentation is a 40-minute panel discussion/question and answer session featuring SCORE members, real estate attorneys (Beth Stern Fleming, Esq. and Jen Walker, Esq. (Peak Legal Group), bankers and DIG representatives.
